Although some of the private players are using 250T Dumpers, According to a source Coal India Ltd. has signed two separate purchase pacts worth ₹ 400 crores with BEML to procure seven 150 tonne dumpers and eight 190 tonne dumpers. The contract cost for the 150T Dumpers is around ₹150 Crores, and that of the 190T Dumpers is ₹ 250 Crores.
The 150-tonne dumpers will be deployed in the Gevra OCP of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. The 190-tonne dumpers will be used in Northern Coalfields Ltd. - four at Amlohri and the other four at Nigahi Open Cast Mines.
